Black Halloween TV episodes
September had somewhere to be and now we are in October. October is the lucky month that holds Halloween. There are various ways people get in the spirit and celebrate Halloween from dressing up and trick or treating to carving pumpkins and visiting haunted houses.. I really enjoy watching holiday episodes and movies around their respective holidays. These shows and movies help us relate to the characters by showing their own traditions for the holidays our worlds share. I was inspired by my own desire for a list of Black sitcoms that have Halloween based episodes. Keep reading for a list of Black sitcoms and their Halloween episodes. (13 total episodes!!!)

Season 2 Episode 7: Kim plays halloween pranks on everyone to get in the spirit as she prepares for her Halloween birthday party. Brandy guest stars.
Season 3 Episode 7: Kim mistakes an ancient ritual on Halloween as a surprise birthday party.

Season 6 episode 7: At a Halloween costume party, Whitley and Dwayne discuss the roles of women and men, later prompting Dwayne to dream of a world where men and women’s gender roles are switched.
Season 4 Episode 6: The Exam Zone (not directly related to halloween but a bit spooky in my opinion) Follow Dwyane, Freddie and Whitley as they enter the exam dimension.

Season 2 Episode 2: When Penny is forced to don a costume to serve Proud Snacks to trick-or-treaters, and then is sent off to a Halloween Party she can't get into, she casually takes a bite of her father's snacks and develops superpowers.

The Fresh Prince of BelAir
Season 1 Episode 8: The family heads to the mall to buy costumes for Hillary’s party.
Season 4 Episode 7: Hilary drags the family to a psychic for a séance to say goodbye to Trevor. Will doesn't believe the psychic is for real and mocks him. Because of that, the psychic curses him and bad things happen later that day.
Season 4 Episode 12 - Will gets drunk and ends up passed out in a graveyard, where he soon meets some spirits who warn him about drinking.

Abbot Elementary

Season 2 Episode 6: Candy Zombies- A student steals a bag of candy meant to be given out to the kids at the end of the day and starts distributing it during school hours; Janine is invited to a Halloween party by an old friend and starts to reconsider her personal life.

Season 4 Episode 2 - Lowkey Distant: Condola and Issa are planning for their block party event. Issa, Kelli, Molly, and Tiffany are dressed for Halloween and have one of their legendary ensemble scenes where they gather together and talk about who is screwing who as well as some long-awaited girl therapy.
